My Projects

Solo Developed with Unity (Game Designer)
2D Top-Down Arcade Shooter/Survival
Created 2D player character with thrust and rotating movement, shooting abilities, level up and upgrade system, enemies and a game object to spawn them. Utilized game balancing for steady difficulty and advancement progression.

Team Project using Unreal Engine 5 - My role: (Lead Systems Designer)
Contributions: Set up project in Perforce, player inputs/abilities, spells, damage types, blueprinting assistance, lock on system, player onboarding setup, testing, problem solving and debugging.

Solo Developed with Unreal Engine 5 (Game and Level Design)
2D side scrolling platformer
I created a mechanic where the character cannot stop once they start moving- only speed up slow down and jump (this was to give the feel of slippery ice). I designed and created levels with different types of platforms, a checkpoint and fail system and instance remembered collectables.

3D Adventure Puzzle Platformer
I created all game systems and interactions. Developed health and mana stat systems with corresponding UIs, checkpoint and death system, spells to be cast and abilities to unlock for the player. Level setup for 3 separate areas and puzzle designs were also implemented. I also customized materials and Niagara effects for the project. No assets outside of UE5 were used besides the music.

(Unity) This project was created as a solo project for a weekend long Game Jam themed: farming, special object: chair. In my game you play as an older lady who has to grow a certain number of lemons each day to progress. The game was made with Unity, and all the art was hand drawn using Krita. I also did the voice acting and sound effects. The music was created and played by Jarrett Holbrook.

3D Top-Down Arcade Style Survival
Play as Betty Sue the hen who saves the other hens from their cages. Avoid foxes and worse to save the day! There are 50 rounds before your remaining eggs "lives" are calculated into your final score. The goal is to achieve the highest score. This was a personal project made to explore using premade character assets. Shoutout and special thanks to Sheepintry for their Animated Chicken Rooster and Chicks pack, and Protofactor INC for their Forest Animals Pack.

3D Top-Down Puzzle
Prototyped and planned game concept. Created game mechanics for tiles and lose/win conditions. Designed each level/puzzle and tested thoroughly.
Created UI to represent players stamina and water progress. Made widgets for main menu, game over condition, and restart. Created basic meshes and materials to represent game objects (bee, water pail, fire ant, etc.)

Solo Developed using Unreal Engine 5 (Level Design and Game Mechanics)
I designed this level for a first-person shooter involving zombies. It is modeled after real hospitals and to scale. The level is non-linear and has multiple paths available. It features a button matching puzzle mechanic I designed and created as well. There is an extra path that allows the player to find a crowbar and unlock most of the doors in the hospital, and all of it is just optional side play.

(UE5) 2D Vertical Scroller Arcade Game. A lactose intolerant cow named Bessie has to flatulate her way from the depths of a canyon. Collect dairy products along the way to increase your gas meter and soar higher. Look out for red seaweed as they reduce Bessie's gas level. The player can earn tokens and buy upgrades and retries. This is my first 2D project using Unreal Engine and I am very proud of how it turned out. I did a lot of UI work with animations and drew some very cute images. All the art was drawn using Krita. The music was created and played by Jarrett Holbrook.

(Unity) Classic tower defense game with 3 upgradable towers and 4 types of enemies. Only 10 waves to survive. This is the very first game I made using Unity. I drew all the images in Krita and also created the sound effects. The music was created and played by Jarrett Holbrook.

(Unity) This 2D action arcade game was created using Unity for a game jam themed "Frozen" and the special object, whistle. This was a solo project made in one weekend. All the art and sound effects were created by me as well as the code.

I designed and created these levels using the Stack O Bot package and modeling tools. One is my very first level design involving climbing and falling into a tower. The second was an "open world" concept. Where the player had 3 areas to complete before unlocking the finish, and they could complete them in any order. The earth temple, volcano, and creepy castle.

(Unity) 2D Top-Down Action puzzle Game. In this game you manipulate the characters movement to combine colors and break blocks. It was created in a week for a game jam themed "Little Guy" and gay. I drew all images on Krita and created the sound effects. Music was created and played by Jarrett Holbrook.
